In this workshop you will leave equipped with the skills to leverage AI as your instructional design partner. Together we will explore AI's capabilities and limitations, ensuring you can use different AI tools effectively.

Be prepared to get hands-on! Working side-by-side, we will put theory into practice! By using the provided cheatsheet, we will analyze learning content to develop rock-solid learning outcomes. As a bonus we will use those outcomes to design engaging activities based on Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction.

Get Ready To:

• Examine AI's abilities and limitations, setting the stage for its effective use in instructional design
• Using appropriate prompt engineering, direct AI to develop learning objectives that are more action-focused and align with Bloom's Taxonomy
• Then practice engineering prompt formulas to receive lesson plans and activities that are more targeted and relevant, and less neutral (or generic)
• Identify how the use of roles and personas will direct your AI sidekick to be more helpful and effective
