Event Accessibility 101

Join us for this in-person event dedicated to best practices and innovative strategies for enhancing accessibility for both virtual and in-person events. This session will cover key topics such as inclusive design, assistive technologies, and effective communication techniques to ensure all participants can fully engage and take part. Whether you design, organize, implement, or are simply interested in making events more accessible, this session will provide valuable insights and practical tools to create more inclusive experiences for everyone.

    About the Presenter: 

     

    Jillian Canode, PhD     

    Jillian is a learning and development project manager. She is a former professor of English composition, philosophy, literature, and women and gender studies. She has over ten years’ experience teaching for colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad, and she has extensive background in presenting, writing, research, and process development and improvement. She is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies and loves to consult on accessibility matters.
