The Human Impact of Change

Change is challenging for any organization, and as learning professionals and leaders we are often asked to contribute to change management initiatives – typically from the perspective of training on new business processes and tools resulting from the change. But one factor that is often surprisingly overlooked when it comes to change is the impact on PEOPLE.

This session will review common change management process steps and frameworks, focusing on building buy-in and internal champions of the change, and considerations for adequately preparing the employees and teams most impacted by the change.

About the Presenter

Jeff Hoxworth, Partner, SDI Clarity, Co-Founder, Expectancy Learning, and  Past President, West Michigan ATD

Jeff has been helping clients solve a variety of talent issues for over 25 years, including defining robust learning curricula, designing training assets across a variety of mediums, facilitating programs and change initiatives, coaching leadership and employees, and defining and implementing corporate universities.

He is VP of Learning at SDI Clarity, where is has spent over twenty years building and maintaining client relationships within Fortune 500 and local companies, providing thought leadership in all areas related to talent development and applying innovative approaches to learning for both client and SDI-offered programs.

Jeff is a co-founder of Expectancy Learning, a cloud-based mobile-enables talent management and development platform that fully integrates training, development planning, and performance management to produce an overall experiential learning, development, and data-driven ecosystem.

He’s also a past president (2020-2021) of the West Michigan chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
