Come join us for a great way to kick off  your summer reading!

This session is scheduled in Grand Rapids to include the members of the Mid Michigan Chapter as well as other workplace learning professionals who live and work to the west of the region and will feature an opportunity for you to choose whether to attend the event live in a classroom setting with lunch and personal networking opportunities OR participate in a live classroom online delivery using the Wimba learning management solution.  The fee to participate online also enables an organization to include as many people in the event as needed at a single price.  For those participating online, full instructions to access the classroom will be provided, along with an opportunity to test and confirm technical access.

Our Facilitator:

Heidi Nagel is currently Interim Branch Manager at the Englehardt branch of Kent District Library (KDL), and has been the Training Manager for KDL since 2008.   Prior to coming to KDL, Heidi was director of the Ionia Community Library.  She has a master’s degree in library science from the University at Albany (NY), and a bachelors in political science and sociology from MSU.  She has pioneered the use of online book clubs with a range of users and interests and looks forward to sharing an online book club structure with MM-ASTD.  In true librarian fashion, Heidi has 6 cats and 2 dogs; along with a husband, and 2 step-children.
