Using Visual Body Language to Engage Others in Virtual Environments

As talent development professionals take advantage of virtual environments to facilitate training, it can be difficult to “read” your audience and fully engage them in the session. If participants are not using webcams in Virtual Instructor Led Training, how do you know if they are tracking with you? If you are using Communities of Practice to support training, how do you know if members are engaged and getting what they need from it? You don’t “see” what they are doing, thinking, or how they are reacting to what you are saying. So how do you, as a facilitator, ensure you are engaging others and facilitating their learning?
