Applying Strengths in Your Workplace

The notion of motivating employees by aligning their work with their strengths has been around for almost 20 years.  There are great tools available (they're even cheap!) to help up identify employee strengths.  But now that we have identified them, how do we keep them from sitting  in an unopened file on the server.

In this class, you will learn how to:

  • apply strengths when coaching or managing
  • develop your employees' self-awareness using strengths as a platform
  • inspire employees to own their strengths as the springboard for possibilities

ATD Competency Model: Integrated Talent Management

8:00am - Opening Remarks
8:10 am - Betsy Simpson
9:00 am - Speed Networking
About the Presenter:

Civil engineer, college professor, corporate trainer, OD consultant.  What do these roles have in common? They are about some kind of growth, and Betsy Makepeace Simpson has done them all. As the Manager of Training at Gentex Corporation, Betsy developed a commitment to the strengths-based workplace; and a few years later she built her current enterprise, Strengths Unlimited, LLC.  2014 saw the launch of Enlighten©, a proprietary on-line performance development tool that takes the sting out of constructive coaching conversations. A life-long optimist, Betsy was recently reminded of the best compliment she has ever received: she gives people hope.  She hopes you will enjoy this workshop.
