Amanda Wendling currently works for the University of Farmers in the Agencies/Field unit. Her learning career began in 2002 with the Employee Development team when she was tasked with helping 1600 Foremost Insurance employees transition and acclimate to a new payroll and timecard processing system as a result of a company merger. She was fully indoctrinated into the University immediately following when she was asked to facilitate 27 straight weeks of processing systems training for the Sales and Service functional units. Within the first 8 years there she logged over 7000 facilitation hours covering systems, sales, service, core and interpersonal skills. Her facilitation experience also got her involved in leadership training and leadership coaching. She joined the University of Farmers Agencies/Field unit in May of 2011. She currently facilitates classes for independent business owners on topics including but not limited to business planning, business finances, agency operations, staffing, marketing, retention, and sales. Her responsibilities also include overseeing the day to day operations of the Grand Rapids Agencies/Field University function.
Amanda received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Psychology from Hope College in 1996, and holds facilitation certifications with several learning industry leaders: Miller Heiman (Sales/Service/Leadership), Development Dimensions International (Service/Leadership) and Lominger (Leadership Coaching). In addition, she has attained the following designations: Associate in Customer Service (ACS), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS). ATD Credentialed Master Trainer and ATD Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) with an emphasis in Delivery.
Amanda and her husband Eric have three grown children and two grandchildren. They live in Grand Rapids, MI. In her free time, Amanda enjoys golfing, thrift shopping and anything involving their ever expanding family.
