Small Changes, Big Impact: Ensuring Business Impact from Training

One of the most impactful forces in business, and in training, is relationships.  The design and delivery of training initiatives are certainly critical to ensure learning and improved performance.  However, there are other factors in creating effective training that, when done correctly, enable the design and delivery phases of training to be most effective.  This session will apply the principles of process consultation to explore the importance of building a helping relationship with your business partners and subject matter experts.  This approach gets us to the heart of the business need and ensures our training (or other solution) meets that need every time.  This may be the most critical component to our success as learning and development professionals!

Participants will:

  • Consider factors that will maximize effectiveness of training.
  • Learn how to use a consultative approach with business partners and SMEs to ensure training is most effective.
  • Apply a methodology to ensure business needs are met every time.
