Linking Thinking to Performance

You can teach people what to do, and how to do it, and even why to do it, but it’s their thinking that dictates if they will actually do it and how well. In this interactive and engaging program Kristin will challenge learning professionals to consider how effective their programs are on improving people’s behavior and performance. We will explore the differences between teaching hard skills (tasks or knowledge) and learning soft skills (leadership, communication, relationship building). We’ll also explore the challenges these bring and why. Lastly, we will explore the concept of Self-Leadership and how it can help you in developing training, implementing a performance management system, improving performance, or changing your company culture. You will learn more about how people’s “thinking” impacts their ability (or inability) to take charge of themselves, to work with others, and implement change.

Attend this program so you can:

  • Understand the challenges to training initiatives
  • Develop strategies for overcoming resistance
  • Learn how self-leadership links thinking to performance
