Coaching and Having Tough Conversations

You’ve worked hard. You’ve put in the time. You finally got that well deserved promotion, you’re a people manager, now what? 

Managing people has never been more challenging than it is today with baby boomers, generation xers and millennials all having different needs and expectations. This training will introduce coaching receptively, a concept that encourages employees to be an active participant during coaching conversations. It will also focus on employee motivators, which are factors that can help reduce tough conversations.

About the presenter:

Tika McCoy is a Learning and Development Consultant with Farmers Insurance. She has been in the training industry for ten years and is currently pursuing the ATD certification for Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP). Tika holds her Michigan Insurance License and is a certified Professional Selling Skills and Professional Sales Coaching trainer with the Miller Heiman Group, formally Achieve Global. She has a MA in Family and Consumer Sciences from Western Michigan University.

Currently, she manages the onboarding program for Independent Agent Marketing Representatives. She also develops and designs agent facing eLearning courses. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading and writing.
